Gala is a medium to small apple characterized by its beautiful red blush over a cream background. An early arrival in August, Gala keeps fresh until about November. The Gala flavor is very sweet and full.
Although it can be used for cooking, we suggest it primarily for fresh eating, as it can lose both texture and its decadent aroma in the cooking process.
