The history of apple orchards in the United States is often connected to family legacy, and that of Shenandoah Valley Orchards is no different. The fertile soil, verdant harvest landscape, and the involvement of the Bowman family are unparalleled examples of the love poured into this business.
In 1994 after purchasing the longstanding orchards and packing house in the picturesque town of Timberville, Mr. Gordon “Sonny” Bowman II worked to modernize the newly formed local grower alliance - Turkey Knob Growers. By introducing a state-of-the-art packing line and continuing renovations on the facility, the company quickly cemented its place in both the community and the industry.

Shipping wholesale apples across the East Coast and beyond, the orchard is proud to maintain high standard certifications, following rigorous safety and quality measures that ensures the excellence of every apple loaded onto a truck. Third party audits are utilized to further facilitate the trust from customers and the community.
